KIDNAPPING OF BOY
MAN AND WIFE ARRESTED

The Department of Justice announced to-night that a man named Herman Waley and his wife, have been arrested at Salt Lake City, and that they have made a “full confession” of participation in the kidnapping of the boy George Weyerhaeuser, aged nine years, on, May 25. The couple are alleged to have stated that they had as an accomplice William Mahan, for whom an intensive search has been started. In the meantime a motor-car belonging to Mahan has been found at Butte, Montana. It contained Io.OOU dollars of the ransom money. Mrs Waley was caught when attempting to pass a bill paid with the ransom money.
