LADIES’ GUILD.
FORMATION AT WAITOA. A meeting of the ladies of the Presbyterian Church at Waitoa was held in the ’Methodist Church Hall for the purpose of forming a 'Ladies’ Guild in the district. The following o(Beers were elected: President, Mrs .1. 11. Lynch; vice-pre-sident, .Mrs D. Kerr; secretary and •treasurer, Mrs .1. Gilliland; sick visitors, Mesdamcs A. M. Campbell and 'll. Blomfield. Vocal solos given by I lie Rev. J. Haslop, of Te Aroha. were much appreciated. A competition, “Something used in the kitchen beginning with the letter C,” was won by Mrs T). ‘Kerr. it was decided, that meetings toe field on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Afternoon lea was served by Ihe ladies, after which a very successful afternoon was brought to a close.
