FANCY DRESS DANCE.

HIGH SCHOOL PUPILS. The School fancy dress dance held on Friday evening at Te Awamutu was attended by a large number of children and adults, and many varied costumes were worn. The band supplied the music for the children, and from 9 o’clock music for dancing was played by Dalton’s orchestra. During the evening the chairman of the School Committee, Mr G. B. Melrose, made a presentation to Mr N. F. Oram, a former teacher at the school and now headmaster at Paterangi, of crystal goblets and a jug. Among those present were:— Dawn Woodward, Jean Batten;.
