PARAGUAY AND BOLIVIA
WAR LIKELY TO CEASE.
ARMISTICE TERMS INITIALLED.
THREE YEARS OF FIGHTING.
United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright,
(Received June 10, 3.0 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, June 9. Armistice terms for the war between Paraguay and Bolivia over Gran Chaco were initialled by representatives of the two countries to-day after 13 days’ mediation among five neutral South American countries.. Although the respective countries must approve the terms, observers predict that hostilities will cease by 1 June 15, the third anniversary of warfare which was responsible for at least 100,000 casualties. The agreement provides for direct peace negotiations between the belligerents, which, if unsuccessful, will result in a world court of arbitration.
