KITCHEN EVENING.
AT HAIRINI. There was a large and representative gathering at the Hairini Hall recently at a kitchen evening tendered to Aliss Mavis Gollison, whose marriage will shortly take place. Dancing was enjoyed during the evening to excellent music provided by Dalton's Orchestra. Vocal items were given as follows: Solo, Miss Hazel Flay; duet, Mrs Hooper and Airs Pepperell; quintette, Airs Bac, Misses Nancy Storey and Jean Bryant, and Messrs. C. Rae and R. Mandeno.
After supper Mr G. S. Hall, on toe-
half of those present, asked Aliss Gollison to accept the many kitchen articles, and also, from the Tennis Club, a crystal salad bowl and silver service, and a xylonite tie box, referring to her popularity and willingness to assist at all times in the life of the community.
Air Owen Payne expressed thanks on behalf of Alias Gollison and musical honours were accorded the guests of honour.
