HAMILTON SPORTS CLUB. ill. HAWKINS’ DUAL SUCCESS. Although conditions were anything hut favourable for 'the Hamilton Amateur Sports Club’s cycle road race on Saturday afternoon, there was a good Held of starters for the 28A mile event. The course was from Hamilton East to Hill Road, Hautapu, via Matangi, and back. Despite the unfavourable conditions, good times were recorded for the long journey, the race resulting in a win for the back-marker, 11. Hawkins, who was also successful in securing fastest time honours with the clocking of 7,'lmin. SOsees. B. 'King, also riding off t he scratch mark, was second, and C. Burr (3min. -Pisces.) third.
