DRIVER INJURED.
BURNED BY EXPLOSION. THAMES, Friday. As the result of a premature exposion of gelignite in a mine in tho Waiotahi locality, Mr Walter Lang, a young married man, was admitted to the Thames Hospital suffering from burns to the face. Mr Lang, who was engaged under the Unemployment Board’s subsidised gold prospecting scheme, was working with Mr K. Fitzpatrick at the time of the accident-. Air Fitzpatrick escaped injury.
