OUTSTANDING TYPE

SALE OF PEDIGREE JERSEYS

“TYNTESFIELD” STUD.

BULLS COMMAND 'GOOD VALUES Outstanding types coupled with production of no mean order were the principal factors in the successful dispersal of select stock from tho wellknown Matamata Jersey stud, “Tyntesfleld,” in the estate of the late Mr R. K. Garland, on the farm at Olcauia yesterday. A good representative bench of buyers competed briskly for all classes, the prices realised being highly -satisfactory. The male offerings sold at -surprisingly good rates in view of the lack of interest in this class of -stock at recent pedigree sales in the Waikato. The sale was -controlled by the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, with Mr S. R. Webb in the rostrum. The -selling opened with the offering of herd matrons, and in consideration of the age of some of these, the prices received by the vendors must be regarded as very satisfactory values. A Ngarua buyer, Mr A. Vickers, was the final bidder on an attractive -classified seven-year-old daughter of Illicit out -of Okauia Lucille, H.C., Tyntesfleld Cinderella, H:C. which he bought cheaply at 9gns. This same figure was paid by Mr Norris, of Cambridge, who was the successful -competitor for an outstanding Jersey type in Tyntesfleld Junita who is by Tyntesfleld Majesty from Mova’s Una, H.'C. Sired either by the -great imported bull Brampton Standard You’ll Do (Standard of Oaklands— Brampton Voluntary Favourite) or by Coniston -Conqueror, C. 8.8. (Oleander’s Lord Mason’s Armietice), the outstanding line of -three and two-year-old bulls elicited keen inquiry and the top price -of the day, 25gns. was paid for a member of this consignment. The first bull into the ring, Tyntesfleld You’ll Do Chief, by Brampton Standard You’ll -Do front Eurim-bla -Primrose, H.C., attracted keen attention from the outset, the bidding ceasing at 25gns., when it was -sold to Mr W. H. Mathers, of Hunga Hunga. The same buyer also made the last bid at 22gns. on the. first of the yearling bulls to be offered, Tyntesfleld .Master-■ piece,'a promising son of Guffulo of Dilkusha and -out of Tyntesfleld Favourite Dot. A line of yearling heifers met good competition and sold at satisfactory prices. The following other purchases were Included in the principal sales: — Females. Tyntesfleld Elf, C. (26/7/28), J. F.
