CHARGE OF MURDER.
RUSSIAN SHOT DEAD. ACCUSED MAN ACQUITTED. United Press Assn.— Elec. Tel. Copyrignt. SYDNEY, June G. In the Criminal Court to-day Leslie Warburton was found not guilty on a charge of murdering Paul Drasdoff at Waverley and was discharged. Warburton reiterated his Innocence and declared that Mrs Drasdoff had made a terrible mistake in identifying him as Hie perpetrator of the crime.
Paul Drasdoff, a Russian, was shot dead in his shop in Waverley, on September 1, 1934. Mr and Mrs Drosduff were having tea in their residence at Hie rear of the shop when they heard the floorboards creak. Mr Drasdoff, thinking a customer was in liie shop, wont in lo attend to him. Mrs Drasdoff heard a voice say, “Put •up your hands." Her husband called “King fur llie police." The sound of a shot followed. Mrs Drasdoff, rushing into llie shop, caught a glimpse of two men before they escaped. She found her husband in a state of collapse. Re died almost immediately. At the inquest on May 10, detectives slated that Mrs Drasdoff had Identified Warburton In a parade of nine men at the gaoj, 1 ■ - ** . fg
