• LABOUR OPPOSITION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. A motion by a non-Labour mertiber, that steps be taken to divide the city Into three wards, each electing seven members, was rejected by the ' City Council last night. Labour members said that it would he a retrograde step, going back to the Victorian ago.
