GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
VISIT TO ROTORUA. ,
WARM WELCOME ACCORDED. 1 ROTORUA, Thursday. The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, accompanied by Viscountess Galway, and party, arrived at Rotorua shortly before four o’clock this afternoon. A civic reception was held immediately afterwards at the main bath building, where Their Excellencies were received by the Mayor, Mr Thomas Jackson, in the presence of a large and enthusiastic gathering of people, including schoolchildren and returned soldiers. Lord Galway’s address was warmly applauded. Their Excellencies attended an informal social evening in the Rilz building this evening.
