THE WOMEN’S DIVISION
AT NGARUA. The monthly meeting of the N'garua branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers' Union was held in the Ngarua Hall, when the-president, Mrs A. Donovan, presided over a large attendance. Mr S. N. Ziman, of Cambridge, gave a most interesting address on India. A competition for the best plate of shortbread, judged by Mrs 0. Lc Gallais, was won by Mrs J. F. James, with Mrs G. Clements second. It-was decided to assist the Ngarua Hall committee in the arranging of a card evening. Afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mesdames F. Hayward, W. Buchanan and 0. Lc Gallais.
