PIG HUNTING.
HAMILTON PARTY’S SUCCESS.
SPORT IN KING COUNTRY
A record number of pigs for one day was recently secured toy four hunters from Hamilton who took part in a pig hunt in the flangitoto district, King Country. The party, Messrs J. Alker, 11. Alker, P. Terry and 0. Bogun, secured 37 pigs, one tooar weighing approximately -i 001 b, while several good sets of Lusks were taken from other hoars. Witli the country heavily wooded and the pigs large and plentiful several exciting incidents were experienced- Messrs 11. Alker and Terry secured a line boar one night without their dogs, tiiis incident not toeing without Us risks. "When returning to camp at dusk one evening Mr J. Alker disturbed a pig and hunted it into a clump of hushes. Ho could not sec the pig when lie went in after it and so lit his cigarette lighter. He saw the tooar a yard away faring him tout fortunately the dogs were handy and another kill was made.
