MUSICAL FESTIVAL.

CAMBRIDGE FIXTURE. -ADJUDICATORS APPOINTED. ('Special to Times). CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. . A meeting of the executive committee of the Cambridge Competitions Society was held on Tuesday evening when the president, Mr F. It. Wooldridge, presided. ' Mr W. Russell Wood, of Dunedin, was appointed adjudicator of the elocutionary section, and Miss Daphne Knight, of Auckland, will be in charge of the dancing,at the festival to be held in October.

Mr Will Hutchins, of Wanganui, will adjudicate in the vocal and instrumental sections.

An important change will be in connection with the timo-limits of own •selections. The standard ,of -six minutes for adults and four minutes for children has been disposed of and each -class will now have an individual

time limit, according to the -type of selection.

An innovation this year will be a class for a children’s playlet, to toe organised toy schools in the Cambridge district. This will take the place of play-reading held last year.
