KING’S JUBILEE.

HAMILTON CELEBRATIONS. PROGRAMME FOR MONDAY. Preparations for the observance the King’s Jubilee in Hamilton have reached a forward stage and, with the co-operation of many individuals and organisations promised there is every indication that the celebrations wilt be carried out on a big scale. Already * 45 decorated vehicles have been offered to take part in the procession, on Monday," and it is anticipated that at least 1500 'returned soldiers, territorials, hoy 'scouts and girl guides, cadets, school children, and others will take part in the march from Knox Street to Seddon Park. The procession will move off at 10.30 a.m.

A selection by the South Auckland' Pipe Band will be folloived by an address by the Mayor, Mr J. R. Fow, at the conclusion or which the Waikato Regimental and Hamilton Municipal Band will play “ Land of Hope and Glory,” the public being invited to join in the chorus. The presentation of Jubilee decorations will follow, and at the conclusion -of this ceremony there will he £3 address by Mr A. E. Manning, after which the Regimental Band will'plar “ Long Live tile King.” The soto in this item* will he taken by Mr G. A. Wheeler, and, as in the band’s previous selection, the public Will be invited to Join in the chorus. In the afternoon a big Jubilee sport! programme will be decided at Steele Park, under the. auspices of the Hamilton Amateur Sports Club. Representative entries have been received for every event, and indications point to a highly successful gathering. A particularly fine array of trophies lias been provided for the meetiug.
