1 MEETING IN HAMILTON.

Two other public meetings In Hamilton addressed by candidates for Mayoral honours did not prevent nearly 100 peo'plo from assembling in the Methodist schoolroom lil London Street last evening to hear Colonel Closey, Dominion organiser of the Douglas Social Credit Movement, expound the Social Credit Plan for New Zealand. Mr FI. M. blasters presided and in introducing Colonel Glosey remarked that interest hi monetary reform was keener than ever;

Colonel Closey quoted liberally from authorities to show that “there is ho 1 effective substitute for monetary reform lo get ns out of our economic difficulties,” and went on to review the world position, pointing out that New Zealand was still trying to regularise productive activities in recent legislation whereas other countries,'. having 'tided fettl'd failed with quotas and tariffs, were beginning to reform their monetary systems. The speaker then outlined the Douglas plan. After answering many questions Colonel Closey was accorded a hearty vote of thanks..
