Remarkable Kumcra Crop A remarkable crop of 7 cwt. of kumeras from a row of 225 plants was obtained by a. farmer of. Gordonlon, Mr e. llinlz. His attention drawn to a paragraph which appeared in the Waikato Times several days ago Idling of Ihe claims of an East Street gardener in regard lo his kumeras, .Mr llinlz brought several specimens of his crop into the Times Office yesterday. One root which weighed sfibs was 2 tins, in circumference, a second weighed 41b Jioz. and a third 31b itiozs. Tho potentialities of the Gordonlon soli in promoting (he growth of all root crops is largely assigned by Mr llinlz as the reason for Hie success of his crop, which received no artificial manure.
