SAFEGUARDING DUTIES.
TO EXPIRE NEXT YEAR. CONTiN UATIO N C ONSID ER ED LONDON, April 30 The safeguarding duties on 0000 articles, mainly vital necessities in flu; manufacture of war materials, arc due to‘expire on August 19, 1930. Tho Board of Trade has appointed a committee to consider Die position which will arise then.
The •committee will recommend wheiheif the dulies should bo continued and, if so, at what rales, and whether oilier articles should be made dutiable.
