HEAVY RAINFALL.
FIGURES FOR APRIL. WELL ABOVE AVERAGE. As a result of the torrential downpours of rain experienced during Easter the Hamilton rainfall figures for last month were well above the average figures for April. On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday the recording totalled 4.09 ins., while for the whole month the register showed that 7.001n5. of rain had fallen. ’ The corresponding month last year was a particularly dry month, only 2.19 ins. of rain being recorded. In April 1933 the rainfall was 3.491n5., while the yearly average for April In Hamilton computed from figures over the past twenty years is 4.l3ins.
