WERNER—MORGAN.

A quiet wedding was solemnised at the Salvation Army 'Citadel on the morning of April 18, between Noel, eldest son of Mr P. Werner and the late Mrs Werner, of Auckland, and Elsie Muir, 'second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Morgan, of Mill Street, Hamilton. . The bride, who entered the churcn with her brother, Mr E. J. Morgan, wore a gown of ivory sand crepe, and carried a sheaf dahlias and maidenhair fern. Her veil was held In place with a coronet of orange blossom, and fell to form a train. She was attended 'by her sister-in-law, Mrs E. J. Morgan, as matron of honour, who wore a frock of eau-de-nll, with touches of scarlet, and carried a sheaf of red roses and maidenhair fern. Little Dorna 'Morgan (niece of the bride) was flower girl, frocked in white satin and tulle, and carrying a basket of pastel-shaded flowers- , ~ . Mr Hugh Werner,. of Auckland (brother of the groom), was best man.

After the ceremony a reception was ■held at the Centreway Tearooms, Airs Morgan receiving her guests in a navy suit, and hat to tone. Mr and Mrs N. Werner left for 'the honeymoon,'the bride travelling in a nigger brown ensemble, with hat to tone. They will make their home in Hamilton. WELLS —BOURNE. The marriage was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Wellington, on the evening of Easter Monday, between Hilda, eider daughter of Mr W. Bourne, Hamilton, and the late Mrs Bourne, and Norman Hastings, second son of Mr and Mrs J. U. Weils, t Epsom, Auckland. Masters, of Ngaruawahia, was matron of honour, wearing a frock of blush pink velvet, fashioned with Dolman sleeves and long graceful skirt. Wells, of Auckland, brother of the bridegroom, was best manAfter the ceremony a reception and dinner were held at the Empire Hotel, where Mrs J. D. Wells (Auckland), mother of the bridegroom, and Mrs E. E. Masters (sister of the bride), received the guests in the lounge. Mrs Wells was wearing a model frock of blue crepe marocain, with touche'-) of fawn, black fur-felt hat, and fur stole. Her sheaf was of red roses. When Mr and Mrs Norman Wells left on a tour the bride travelled in a smart brown French model frock trimmed with gold lace, a brown musquash fur coat, and velour hat to tone. They will make their home in Dunedin.

The marriage was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Cambridge, on April 22, between Margaret iLouise, only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Charles E. Hicks and Bernard James, elder son of Mr T. McGee and I he late Mrs McGee, of Foxton. The Rev. C. W. Chandler outdated. The church had been beautifully decorated In pink and white flowers, the bride and bridegroom standing under a floral archway, from the centre of which was suspended a wedding bell. The bride, who entered the church with her brother, Mr T. Hicks, wore a beautiful gown of magnolia-tinted satin, fashioned on classical lines. The bodice was cut with folds to a high neckline, falling over the shoulders and forming a graceful epaulette, the -sleeves being long and light titling. The skirl, which closely ! followed the lines of the figure, fell gracefully into a long oval train. A girdle of diamante finished the waistline. Her veil of tulle and exquisite ■'lloniton lace, which had belonged lo | her grandmother, was worn cap ; fashion and held in place with sprays • of orange blossom. The bridesmaids —Miss Jessie Anderson and Miss Marci Hicks- (cousin of the bride) wore frocks of powder blue -cire spot taffeta, slim fitting to .the knees, with three flared flounces low at the back forming a slight train. The bodices were made with a deep poinfbd yoke, from which fell a flared frill. The waistlines were finished with a sash ol' blue velvet. They wore wide picture hats of the same shade and carried bouquets in shades of cherry and pink. Little Shirley Hicks (cousin of the bride) was train-bearer- ' She wore an Empire frock of palest pink taffeta. Mr D. E. Keane, of Auckland, was best man, and Mr H. G. Simpson, of Opotiki, was groomsman. Messrs Charles and Frank Hicks were the ushers. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Parish Hall, which had been attractively decorated in shades of pink and blue by friends of the bride. The bride’s aiunt, Miss K. G. Hicks, received the guests, wearing a frock of wine moss crepe, hand laced and relieved with silver lame, with hat to tone, and a grey squirrel stole. She carried a bouquet in pink and Burgundy shades. Mrs J. T. Hicks wore a navy ensemble and carried a posy in autumn tints. , . Mr and Mrs B. J. McGee left ioi the honeymoon, the bride travelling in a suit of deep goldeu Angora tweed, with brown accessories.
