MORE ACCOMMODATION.
TECHNICAL COLLEGE BUILDING. PROVISION OF LABORATORIES. Two. science and engineering laboratories are provided in the extensions which are now nearing the final stages of completion at the Anglesea Street block of the Hamilton Technical College. One of the rooms, used for the instruction of general science, will be put into occupation within the course of the next few days, while the ground Ho or electrical engineering laboratory should be available for use within the course of several weeks.
•A long-suffered want of adequate acoonimodation for students In electrloal engineei’ing will he fulfilled by the new laboratory on the lower floor. The equipment now used in the old apshalt-floored room will be transferred shortly to the new building and augmented by more modern machinery and testing apparatus. It is adjoined by a small photometry room, which will also be employed for storing materials and equipment.
The general science laboratory is constructed on similar lines on the second floor. There are ample sinks and benches and the walls are well fitted with an array of snelves and cupboards. Chemicals and apparatus are stored in an adjoining room.
