FOREIGN POLICY.
BRITAIN AND DOMINIONS. DIS'CUSSION WITH MINISTERS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. RUGBY, April 4. The Prime Minister, in answer to a question, said consideration of any practical proposal which might be put forward for improving the method of consultation and co-operation between the United Kingdom and the Dominions on questions of foreign policy would come within the scope of the discussions to be held with the Dominions’ representatives when they are visiting London for the King’s Jubilee celebrations.
IMPERIAL MACHINERY. IMPROVING CO-OPERATION. BRITAIN AND DOMINIONS. In the House of Commons, asked whether, as any serious divergencies between the foreign policy of the United Kingdom and the Dominions would result In the undermining of Imperial unity, weakening British influence for peace, the Government would impress upon the Dominion representatives visiting London the need for establishing permanent Imperial machinery for the joint direction of foreign policy, the Premier, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, replied that any practical proposal for improving interEmpire consultation and co-operation on the foreign policy would come within the scope of the Jubilee discussions.
He added that if the existing facilities Avere inadequate the Dominions must agree upon a change of plans, on which they had been consulted on various occasions.
