RADIO “AUNT’S” TRIP.
VISIT TO UNITED STATES. Mrs D. Basham, of Auckland, well known lo radio; listeners as (“Aunt Daisy,” returned to Wellington 'by tho Makura from a visit lo Canada and the United Stales of America. Speaking to an Evening Posit reporter Mrs Basham said that the object of her trip had been lo gain radio experience and material for use in her broadcasting and literary work. The trip had been well worth while from ill all point of view. Mrs 'Basham gave four broadcast, talks, one at Honolulu, and Hip oliicrs from station C.JOR (Vancouver), llie national station at. SeatHc, and from K.FI (Los Angeles), and at each gave New Zealand “a good boost. ’’ Mrs Basham was able to visit (lie lots at Hie Paramount Picture Studios and Hio Fox and 11.K.0. Studios. A pic I urc on Ibis page shows her having lunch with Colin Tapley. of Dunedin. who is doing well in films. Mrs Hasham saw Mary Pick ford rehearse for a radio play; Cecil de Mill** direct a piece of his lalcsl picture. *• Crusades,” and Victor McLagleu at work in “ The Informer."
