THE WORLD OF MUSIC.

How Tunes Bring Back Memories! How a little melody heard as one moves around —at the theatre, from a gramophone shop, or from the radio --will bring back delightful memories by the association of ideas. Often, since my return from Sydney, I have been transported back to Australia in thought by 'a bar or two of music heard accidentally, and imagined myself again on 'Sydney’s beautiful harbour, or her gay beaches, or at the opera, or in the bustle of P'itt or George Streets, or enjoying life on shipboard, or making contact again Avith those charming and interesting people I met in Australia. Just a note or two of music, and one re-lives those happy experiences.
