FOR THE WINTER
ALL WHITE VOGUE. The Royal bride and her retinue have .Inspired a “white winter” fashion with 'the all-white scheme of the bridal array, says 'the Evening News. The furriers are making up deep collars and cuffs of pure white fox for trimming day and evening’coats, and white fox-trinuned ermine coats and capes for evening wear are most popular.. White furs generally have been in great demand since the white ermine cape, which the Duchess of Kent wore over her bridal gown, captivated women’s eyes and filled them with envy and admiration. To match the new all-white vogue complexions are going Jo be paler.
Hats trimmed with alternating petals of white and black velvet, and hats with all-whilc brims, felt or velvet, turning hack from the face or forming an upturned saucer-like brim, are to he fashionable. Instead of deep-toned'cosmetics, there is a tendency for more blush-rose rouge tints, for more pustcl-lintod powder and colourless lipsticks. There is a new coloured nail varnish for sportswomen. It is a bronze product and goes well with any smart out-door colour. For the cinema, there is a beauty box with mi electrically-lit mirror, which automatically operates when the lid of the box springs hack.
