OBITUARY.
'MR J. R- CORRIGAN,
LIFE OF PUBLIC SERVICE. INTERESTS IN SOUTH TARANAKI. HAWERA. Tuesday. The death has occurred of Mr .1. R. Corrigan, aged 69 years. He' arrived In Ilawera 42 years ago from Tinwald, Canterbury, and soon established himself as a breeder of stud sheep and later had extensive dairying interests. Mr Corrigan was also prominent in trotting circles and for many years was one of the leading owners. For 28 years lie was director of the Hawcra Dairy Company, and was chairman for 17 years. He was chairman of the Eltham Box Company for some years, chairman of the South Taranaki Winter Show, co-director and chairman of I lie Now Zealand Rennet, Company, chairman of the West Coast Refrigerating Company, director of the South Taranaki Shipping Company, and also director of a number of oilier companies. Mr Corrigan was member of Parliament. for the Patea electorate from J 922-1925, and was a representative on the Dairy Produce CouLrol Board from 1926-1935.
