INTERESTING IMPORTATION, STALLION FOR WAIKATO. TO STAND AT CAMBRIDGE. ARRIVING IN APRIL. Purchased by Mr. L. 11. Otway, of Cambridge, the high-class English stallion, Foxbridge, is on ills way to New Zealand ami will arrive here about the middle of April, lie is to stand at the Trclawncy Stud, Cambridge, and will take the place of the defunct Gay Shield.
Foxbridge, who is “ a flve-year-old bay horse, by Fox Law from Bridgemount (who is out of a full-sister to Pretty Polly), Is a high-class performer and raced only against the best pf English company. Foxbridge numbers amongst his most notable achievements, the Atlantic Cup, of £2500 at Liverpool, winning by four lengths in the good time of 2.4 2-5. He was third in the Eclipse Stakes, of £IO,OOO last year and second in the Newbury Summer Cup (1 i miles) being beaten a head in 2.30. .
He is a half-brother to Cresta Run, winner of the Thousand Guineas and £14,500 in stakes. Foxbridge is closely related t-o such good horses as Colorado Kid, Christopher Robin, Cragnnour and Arabella, I lie crack two-year-old. He is a member of Iho famous'No. 14 family.
