Sir, —Recently when a member of the Hamilton Borough Council made a complaint a member deplored his “pin-pricking tactics.” "'Pin-prick-ing,” where the criticism is bona fide and based on facts, is all to the good, and, indeed,' is often the only means by which the public is informed of any irregular practices. The same parrotcry of “pin-pricking” could 'have been raised when the Government was inquiring into the affairs of certain trust companies. Probably the big armament firms trading in death regard the American Munitions Commission as “pin-prickers.” These large-scale matters probably are a far cry from local politics, but the same principle is involved.
