Copyright (Received Dec. 31, 12.30 p.m.) HOBART, Dec. 31. • Three days’ heavy rain caused floods in many places in the north-west. The floods are most serious. Reports have been received of destroyed bridges, some of which were those reconstructed after the 1929 floods. Crops in the Burnie and Devenport districts al-e mined, and traffic/Is impossible owing to the flooded roads.
