MEETS WITH A MISHAP. BROKEN RIBS AND TORN MUSCLES. (By Teleffrapa—Press Association.) CARTERTON, Monday. Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P. for Avon, and Mayor of Christchurch, was admitted to the hospital at Feat'herston late last : evening. He was camping along the upper reaches of the Tauherenikau River and yesterday, left camp to go for a walk in the hills. While crossing a gravel slide he slipped falling a considerable distance over stones. He managed to make the camp, suffering great pain, and was later examined by Or. Berney who found three ribs broken and the muscles torn.

Mr Sullivan was conveyed in a car to Kelvin private hospital, arriving at midnight, after a slow journey. The latest report states he is doing satisfactorily, and should he about in a few days.
