Rainfall, for year to date 41.39 in. Yearly average, 46.321 n. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Oovl. Meteorologist.' The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WalKatoThames Valley Is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate-': northerly winds; some isolated local showers are probable, but the weather will be mainly .fine and warm. Seas moderate. • General Inference: A moderate depression is advancing from the Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. Pressure is rather low over the whole of Australia.
