WEDDINGS.

ROAOH—RICE. The wedding took place on Boxing iDay morning between Ona Evelyn, eldest daughter of Air and Mrs E- G. Rice, of-Lake Road, Hamilton, and ■Philip Barthomolew, eldest .son of Air and Airs Tom Roach, Tramway Road, Claudelands. ' The ceremony took place at Our Lady of the 'Rosary Church, Hamilton East, the Rev. Father Walls being the celebrant at Nuptial. Alass.

The bride entered the church on file arm of her father, and wore a beautiful princess gown of cream chenille embossed velvet, worn with an embroidered tulle veil, arranged, as a train and held with a wreath oif orange blossom.

She carried' a sheaf of white gladioli and asparagus fern, 'tied with streamers of white ribbon. The two bridesmaids were the Misses T. Twldle, of Auckland, and H. Rice, the bride’s younger sister. They wore pale pink orepe de chine dresses knd • large picture hats to tone and carried ruohed muffs of flowers to match their frocks. The best man was •Mr Joe Roach, with Air L. Ramsey as groomsman. MILES—ORMSLEY. \ _____ \ The marriage was -solemniseki at St. Brides Anglican 'Church, lOtorohanga, on Christmas Day, between Gladys, the eldest daughter of Mrs 'Bretherton, Rotorua, and the late Mr Miles, of Otorohanga, and grand-daughter of Mr and Mrs J. B. Cooper, Kio Klo, and Albert, .the eldest son of Mrs Loa and 'the late Mr R. Ormsley. The bride entered the church on the arm of her grandfather, and wore a frock of white windswept satin, made on classical lines. Her wreath and veil were held by orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white lilies, Canterbury bells and gypsophlia. The bridesmaid, Miss Marion Miles, sister of the bride, wore a blue crinkle crepe dress with white hat. Her bouquet was of pink carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Alex Cockburn as best man. The wedding music was supplied by the choir. Miss P. Rhodes played the “Wedding March" and a hymn was rendered by Mrs F. Nathan. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fussell. The reception was held at the Regent tea-rooms, Mrs Bclherton receiving her guests wearing a brown uncrushablo crepe dress with hat to match. Mrs J. .pooper, the bride’s grandmother, assisted her'daughw She wore a black ensemble. The bridegroom’s mother was dressed In n navy blue dress of uncrushablo crepe and hat to match. Mr and Mrs 'Ormsley left by car for their honeymoon at Rotorua, the bride travelling in a grey ensemble.
