ACCLAIMED IN AMERICA. GILBERT AND SULLIVAN DINNER. (From a Correspondent.) NEW YORK, November 26. Englishmen present at the Lotos Club dinner in New 5 ork last night to the D’Uyly Carte Opera Company blushed with pride and joy al. the good things said of their “little island.” The dinner was in celebration of ono given in 1879 to the llrst Gilbert and Sullivan company appearing in New York.
