WIN FOR PIAKO REPRESENTATIVES. In a low scoring match the Piako representatives defeated a combined Morrinsville and Te Arolia team at Matamata on Boxing- Day by -13 runs. Piako made 03 In tho first innings and 64 in the second. while the visitors scored 42 and 72. Batting lor Piako rtenton made 44, Miles 16, Harvey 10 and Hughes 11. Bowling for the combined team the veteran, C. .McIntyre took four wickets for 11 and ronr for 12, MacDonald took none ror 3S and roue for 12, Ellery three for 20, Raeburn two for 13 and one for 17. Batting Tor [ho Combined team Boyd 10 and 15, Mallett 00, Hostlck 20 and McIntyre 10 were tbo elder scorers. Howling for Piako Hommer took five foils and one for 0, Hoberts five for 19 and two for 21, Mason two for 0, Renton two for 14. PIAKO ASSOCIATION. NORTHERN V. SOUTHERN. Representative leanis from [lie Northern and Southern divisions of the I’ltlko Association met at .Matamata on Boxing Day. when the .southerners won comfortably on the first innings.
