PROGRAMME FOR WEEK-END 1 Bowlers in Hamilton will have a big programme of club competitions, tournarrients, and other fixtures to occupy their attention during the coming week-end and New Year vacation. •To-morrow games in the ordinal’!’ draw, and club competitions will be played. •Over the New Year the Claudelands and Hamilton Clubs wil combine In staging a two-day full-rink tournament on the Hamilton green, while a pairs tournament will be staged on the Frankton green. There-was a large attendance at the annual general meeting of the English Bowling Association in London, when, iii addition to the usual formalities, several resolutions of more than ord-‘ inary interest were considered. The secretary’s report for the season 193-1-35 revealed a net increase of GO in -the number of affiliated clubs. The parent association now comprises 28 county and 22 minor associations, with 1406 clubs in all. Entries for the national championships were:— Singles, 4128; pairs, 3664; finks, 3664; making- a total of 18,556 indivdual players. Arrangements for 1935 include a visit from the South African Bowling Association, when matches against English counties will cover a period of five "weeks. The annual international matches will be played during the second week in July-in England at a place yet to be fixed. The • International Bowling Board propose sto send a team to Australia and .New Zealand in the autumn of next year if a sufficient number of applications be received.
