CAMP LEAGUE’S PLANS. ARRANGEMENTS- IN HAND. A forward stage has been reached with the arrangements for the Waikato- ' Children’s Camp League’s camp at Port Waikato for the district’s needy children, and final preparations are being made for the arrival of the children on the river -steamer Manuwai -on January 4. The party xvill comprise 200 children. who will spend three weeks at the league’s fine seaside camp. The steamer xvill leave Hamilton at 9.30 a.m on January 4, and the league lias arranged to billet overnight those children "from country districts and centres who cannot reach Hamilton by the scheduled time on the morning of ■departure. An interesting programme has been drawn up for the children during Iheir stay in camp, and on present indications they should have a most enjoyable time. Visit of Prime Minister. It. -is probable that a visit will -he paid to the camp during January by the Prime Minister, the Right Hon. O. AX'. Forbes. Many visitors inspected the camp during the Christmas weekend. and they were agreeably surprised at the excellence of the layout and facilities. The camp will now be closed to visitors until the children arrive on January 4.
