' The Abyssinian Note lo the League declares that the situation is increasingly serious. It alleges that the Italians are advancing into Abyssinian territory and building a road towards Adou Jerlogubi, over which Italian planes have carried out a reconnaisance, apparently as a prelude to a further attack. They also have occupied Afdul. ROME, Dec. 26. Officials deny that the Italians have advanced and point out that Afdul lias been under Italian control for years. They declare that reconnaisance flights were necessitated by the massing of Abyssinians. They also deny any intention of taking the initiative. Italy is ready to settlo Hie boundary question when the demand for reparations for the Ualual incident is fullllled.
