Indications are for partly fair and partly cloudy weather to-day and probably to-morrow; seasonable temperatures; north-west winds prevailing. The Rainfall. Rainrali ror 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning. -OOins. Main fall for previous 24 hours .OOin. , Total for December to date, .64in. Average rainfall for December, 3.38 in. Rainfall for year to date 41.39 in. Yearly average. 46.321 n. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Gcvl. Meteorologist. The special rorecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WalkatoThames Valley is as follows: 'Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, tending north-easterly and later freshening. Weather mainly fair and warm to hot, but isolated rains and thunder possible. Seas smooth to moderate. General inference: An anticyclone is located east of New Zealand, while a depression covers the western Tasman sea.
