HUNT —COUPER. Tlie marriage was solemnised by the Rev. P. Cleary, of Putaruru, at St, ■ r eter’s Cathedral, on the evening of Saturday, December 22, between Adeline Yvonne j only daughter of .Mrs Gordon Couper and the .late Captain Couper,- lmiperial Army .'Dragoon Guards) and X.Z.E.F., of Hamilton, arid Eric . Le Laine Hunt, of Hamilton, younger son of Mr and Mrs A- H. Hunt, of Wellington. The bride, who entered tiie Cathedral with Mr Boston 'Couper, of Cambridge, wore a frock of ivory silk tulle and embossed lace, trimmed with orange blossom over an 'underdress olane worn by the bride’s great grandmother at the latter’s wedding, .'die wore a veil of tulle sewn with pearls forming a train and 1 held by a circlet of •orange blossom. Tlie bride si hat ds were Miss Mavis Me Guinness and Miss Eva Beeche and •they wore slim-fitting frocks oi peach pink French lace worn with large picture hats to tone. They carried sheats •of peach shaded gladioli. Mr Cyril Norton was best man and Mr Douglas Couper was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was •held at the Wattle 'tea rooms, Mrs Couper receiving her guests in a frock of plum coloured satin beaute and silk net, worn with a small coat of chitfon.velvet and a large hat to lone. She carried a posy of sweet peas. Mrs Hunt was wearing a black and' white ensemble with a large picture hat. She •carried a posy of carnations. Later Mr and Mrs Eric Hunt left for the wedding trip, the bride travelling in an ensemble of oyster and nigger- brown cloth worn with a brown hat and Russian sable necklet.
