Quotations given represent the average for the week, and are not selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of shipments now on offer.

STEADY DEMAND FOR LAMBS. SMALLER MUTTON SUPPLIES. New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. —Lamb: Meeting with steady demand. Mutton: For wethers and ewes, prices are better, with fair trade. 'Beef: Steady demand, with prices unchanged. New Zealand porkers: Market quiet and prices unchanged. New Zealand baconers. Nominal. The Bank of New 'Zealand. —Wethers: Smaller supplies have caused prices to harden. Ewes. The demand and prices are steady. Lambs: There is a good demand for the time of the year. Messrs Dalgcty and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly stock sale at Morrinsvnle on Friday. There was a moderate yarding or cattle and sheep, and a good yarding of fat and store nigs. There was practically a total clearance at full market rales. Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited, report having held a clearing sale of dairy stock and implements on account, of Mr Newman (who has sold his farm), on Friday, ns under: — There was a large attendance and a very satisfactory sale resulted.
