TWO PRESENTATIONS.
BUSINESS MAN HONOURED. At a representative gathering of the friends of Mr J. AV. Brown at Morrinsville opportunity Avas taken to offer him the felicitations of the business and sporting community of Alorrinsville in view of his approaching marriage. The Mayor, Mr AV. T. Osborne, in making the presentation of a clock, referred to the popularity •of Air Brown as a member of the business community, and wished him happiness. In reply Air Brown said he looked forward do being-a resident for many years of the district in which he had so many friends. SECRETARY’S SERVICES. RECOGNISED BY LODGE. In recognition of his untiring work for Lodge Star of Piako, U.A.0.D., Alorrinsville, Air A. V. Allatt was presented with a past arches 1 jewel at the ilnal lodge meeting of the year. In making the presentation Air G. AA r . Simpson, district president of tlie Order, referred to Air Allatt’s work as secretary of the lodge for seven and a half years.
