With the exception of Japan and the United States, leading exponents from all the tennis-playing nations will ■compete. Headed by two world champions— Perry and Miss Round —the visiting International players will include Misses Dearman. and Lyle and P. Hughes (Britain), Kirby and Malcolm and Mrs. Malcolm (South Africa); Boussus and Brugnon (France), Menzel (Czechoslovakia)'; de Stefani (Italy), and Maier (Spain). The eight seeded players io the singles in the order of merit are:— ■ Perry, Crawford, Menzel, Boussus, McGrath, Quist, de Stefani and Kirby.
