RACING IN INDIA.
RESULTS ARRANGED. JOCKEYS DEALT WITH. CALCUTTA, Dec. 21. The Calcutta Turf Club has taken drastic action as the result of an inquiry into malpractices at the Secunderabad race's. Several events were alleged to have been “arranged” by a trainer in collusion with jockeys. The club has warned off all courses in India a leading Bombay trainer, Byramjee Rustomjee, also seven jockeys, namely, the brothers J. and \V. McCarthy, Evans and Alford, Australians; T. Hill and A. Clarke, 'Englishmen; and iQihaid, a crack Arab rider.
