PETER PAN’S LETTER.

T)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS, Hasn’t this been a hot, dusty week. Peter did enjoy the showers and the cool of the evening when the poor flowers? were beginning to lift their drooping heads a little. And his plums have been getting beautifully red and ripe. It has been splendid fun eating them, but Peter really thinks the first one was the best. “No-one” enjoys them, too, but “ Somo-One’s ” nose is very much out of Joint because they are not the kind of delicacy he cares for. This week has been nothing but bustle from beginning to end there have been parcels coming in all ’the time and the Cheer Chest took such a lot of unpacking. It was like a huge stocking that never seemed to come to an end, and it was fun. You would have enjoyed seeing poor Peter trying to tie up tho queerest shaped parcels. Some of them were very awkward Indeed, but they looked so inviting when they were finished and all ready to go on their jolly Journey. Have you had any Christmas gifts yet? Peter Is getting very spoilt; ho is getting lots and lots of the prettiest,Christmas Cards and all sorts of Jolly things. If only he had a sprig of holly, his office would look Just like a Christmas shop.' When all the Cheer Chest toys were about It, it did look Ilk 6 one, and it was such a Jolly one, too. Have any of you a holly tree in your gardens? It makes Christmas decorations look so very Christmassy, Peter thinks. What wonderful times you have ahead of you with Christmas Eve still to look forward to. Peter -always thought it was the best night of the year, even better than Guy Fawke’s, and he still thinks so. Be sure you have no holes in the toes of those stockings, or there is no knowing what might happen. Lots of love to you and splendid stockings from fev ?ak..
