SCOTTISH GAELIC.

KISCH CONVICTION QUASHED.

SYDNEY, Dec. 19.

The High Court of Australia to-day decided that the Scottish Gaelio language in which Egon Kisoh, Czech author, was subjected to a dictation test, is not a European language within the meaning of the Commonwealth Immigration Aot. The Court therefore upheld Kisch’s appeal and quashed his conviction as a prohibited immigrant. The Crown was ordered to pay the costs of all the legal proceedings to date. Mr. Justice Starke was the only dissenting Judge among five on the Bench.
