RUMANIA’S TRADE DEBT.
PROMPT PAYMENT.
REQUESTED BY BRITAIN.

The question of trade debts owned by Rumania to the United Kingdom was further discussed to-day between the President of the Board of Trade, Mr Walter Runeiiivan, and the Rumanian representatives. Mr Runciman emphasised that the .payments of these debts in sterling within the shortest period possible was regarded as essential by Britain. The Rumanians said they recognise'di the justice of the British point of view and undertook to consult their Government with a view to a resumption of the negotiations early in January.
