GENEROUS GIFT.
£3OO FOR OTAGO HOSPITALS. (By Tclegrapn.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. A generous gift to ‘hospitals in Otago and Southland has been made by Mr John Edmond, of Melbourne, who has forwarded £3OO to be distributed among 12 hospitals. The donor desires the money should be used for the purpose of purchasing, or helping to, purchase, some article which will : toe a means of “alleviating pain and helping suffering humanity.”
