ers unit .of the Girl Guides, an enjoy- , able'entertainment was provided at the Old People’s Home last evening. Accompanying the Hangers were the MoLachlan - family, comprising six members. These provided 'the orchestral portion of Hie programme and also individual items. Noticeable among the latter was a diminutive-violinist, Jean, who; celebrated her sixth birthday an■niversriry that day, and whose rendering was a' revelation lo tho inmates. Company items provided by the Hangers were most favourably received. Community singing was indulged in, and Mr T. Child rendered a vocal item. Tho Hev. Mr Stark extolled tho Guide movement and referred to the willingness of tho MoLachlan family in devoting their talents to tho entertainment of those who wore unable to fully enjoy some of life’s pleasures. The inmates desire to thank tho Mali! Aroha Hangers for their thoughtfulness in arranging the entertainment.
