CARD TOURNAMENT.
AT SPRINGDALE. A most enjoyable evening was sp«nt in the Springdale Hall when the new-ly-formed cricket club held a dance and progressive five hundred tournament, there being an attendance of over one hundred- The successful players were Miss K. 'Sharkey and Mr B. Ashton, while the lesser honours were secured by Mrs W. Price and Mr J. Ryan. A delicious supper, which had been provided by the ladies, was enjoyed by all present. The music for the dancing was provided by Miss A. Wright and Mr A. North. Mr Biddy was in charge of the dance floor, while Messrs C. White and E. Wheeler were card M's.C.
