GAMES IN HAMILTON. COMPETITION CONTINUED. PLAYERS FOR AUCKLAND. After a break- of two weeks owing to the Town v. Country matches and the Hawke Cup elimination match at Rotorua, the Hamilton district senior A competition will be continued on Saturday when the first matches in the second round will be commenced. All the teams will not be at full strength, however,'owing to the Town v. Country match at Auckland to-day and tomorrow.

Six of Hamilton’s players were selected to play for the 'Country team but only four could get leave. Those who will play are M. Clark, A. J. Aitken, A. Lisette, and 0. Harding, S. A. R. Badeley and 0. McKenzie being unable to obtain leave.

Old Boys with Clark and Aitken away will be at a big disadvantage in their match against JJie leaders of the competition, Hamilton East, on No. 1 wicket on 'Saturday, hut the other match will not’ be affected. The senior B and junior competitions will he advanced a further stage on Saturday.

The annual cricket match between the Te Awamutu and Otorohanga 'District High Schools’ teams took place on I'he Te Awamutu ground. Otorohanga were all out for 45 runs, R. Sanders being top scorer with 11. C. Teddy captured six wickets for 24 runs, and Olsen three for 13.

Te Awamutu responded with 75 runs, of which Dalton contributed 35 (retired), and R. ,lley 13. . Finlay took four wickets for 23 runs and 'Phillips four for 9 runs. NAPIER v. PALMERSTON NORTH. HASTINGS, Thursday. The annual cricket match between the Napier and Palmerston North Boys’ High Schools was commenced at Napier to-day. Palmerston North scored 211 (Pollen 42 Kearsey 30, Spolman 39). Johnson too’k live wickets lor 0! runs and Morrissey three for 52. Napier at slumps was all out for 92 (Morrissey 30, BickerstalT 24). London took, live wickets for 19 runs and Stewart three fur 55.
